Exeter Bike Workshop has new and refurbished bikes, expert maintenance services and a complete range of affordable parts, clothing and cycling accessories.

Exeter Bike Workshop's mission

With the support of other cyclists like you, we're helping homeless and excluded people in Exeter to train, gain confidence and get back into work.

We run accredited courses and training programs proven to help people make progress towards employment. Last year we helped 140 people back into work. This year we're aiming for 200+.

By becoming a customer, you can help people off the streets of Exeter and back into working life.

Expert bicycle servicing

We have the technical expertise to deliver a service you can trust, whatever the job. We also offer a friendly, no-pressure environment. You're welcome to come, ask questions and learn more about bikes.

To book a service, just drop in to the workshop on Market Street. Or you can call in advance to talk about what you need us to do.

New & refurbished bikes for sale

As second-hand bike specialists, we have a wide range of bikes to show you - From vintage racers to hybrids and mountain bikes. All second hand bikes are fully serviced and safety checked. This guarantees that they are safe and in good working condition.

Parts, clothing and accessories

We stock full range of new parts, along with a collection of second hand bike parts spanning decades. We also carry all the accessories, clothing and protective gear to keep you riding in safety and comfort.

Maintenance courses

We believe that bike experts should illuminate, not intimidate. So we offer a warm welcome and a supportive, no-pressure environment where you can ask questions and learn more.

In fact, we even offer training workshops to get you more comfortable with the ins and outs of basic cycle maintenance.


You can get involved in running the workshop, learn about mechanics and help support excluded people in the community. We have mechanical roles, if you like getting your hands dirty, and business/admin roles too, if that's more your style.

You're unwanted bike can help to save lives! We take donations of individual bikes and bulk donations from larger organisation.

Some of these are refurbished and given a good home as part of the Build-a-Bike programme. Others are sold support our mission, or stripped down for useful parts.

‘Standard’ and ‘Full’ services include a free new set of gear and brake cables and outers.

These prices cover the labour element of the jobs listed. If your mechanic thinks that you need replacement parts, or additional labour, they will contact you first to agree the cost.
